Use the cervical treatment unit to continue physical therapy independently and where you feel most comfortable. This non-invasive therapy is an effective way to facilitate neck treatment at home. Utilizing the FabTrac® Cervical Outdoor Treatment Unit to stretch the neck helps increase the space between vertebrae to release pinched nerves and help with pain. Doing so allows the muscles to stretch and maintain the correct postural position. The FabTrac® Overdoor Cervical Treatment Unit comes with all the parts needed for treatment. First, mount FabTrac® to the top of a door. Then, use the S-hook to attach the adjustable spreader bar to FabTrac®; this bar will support the head halter, which is a brace that holds the user’s head. Put water in the water bag, up to 20 lbs., to add counterweight to the pulley traction rope. As you grow more comfortable with the treatment, add water weight to the bag gradually and over time. Once the user’s head is in the head halter, use the hook-and-loop closure to adjust the halter to the correct fit. Then, use the puller to gently apply tension to the device to support decompression. The traction unit has a two-pulley system, which allows the user to administer gentle, gradual tension. The head halter is machine-washable and made to fit most adults.
