Simply turn the rotary switch to cycle through these modes and press the face of the rotary switch to cycle through the different brightness outputs for that selected mode. Additionally, the HM75R features a proximity sensor that automatically reduces brightness when it detects an obstruction at close range to prevent blinding reflections or overheating.

The HM75R can run for up to 9 hours on turbo and 234 hours on the lowest white light setting. The headlamp and the power extender feature power indicators to inform you when it's time to charge. The HM75R by itself can be charged in just four hours and the power extender can be fully charged in just 2.5 hours.
