Upon contact with wound drainage, the dressing transforms into a soft gel that provides a cool, soothing effect to enhance patient comfort. The collagen and EDTA work together to help deactivate excess matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), supporting the natural healing process in chronic wounds. Alginate and CMC components absorb drainage while promoting the formation of granulation tissue and epithelialization.
