- The Flip Grip is great for games with vertical display support. It is compatible with many classic retro and arcade games, puzzle games, rhythm games, shoot ‘em ups, pinball, and more recent titles like Tetris Effect, Ikaruga, and Sophstar. There's also retro games from publishers like Nintendo, Namco, Capcom, SNK, Taito, Atari, Konami, and more! Depending on your region, Pinball FX, Pinball M, and 1943 -The Battle of Midway (included with Capcom Arcade Stadium) are available for free through the Nintendo Switch Online Store as well!
- In horizontal orientation, these games may run vertically, but you end up with a smaller display with the sides blacked out or overlayed with graphic art. Games with vertical/portrait option included make them larger visually, providing more vertical screen space for games where it matters most. So whether you just want a better view of a pinball machine or just need to pick off that one annoying ship or plane in the distance; whatever the case, as long as the game supports it, the Flip Grip has you covered.
- When assembled, the Flip Grip secures your joy-cons and switch console while gaming. Inserting your switch console is about as easy as sliding the joy-cons in place. When finished, gently pull and hold the rubber tab on the back to release the Switch console from the Flip Grip, and carefully slide the Nintendo Switch console out therein. Joy-Cons can be removed from the grip traditionally with the release buttons/buckles on the back of the joy-cons.
- **The Flip Grip is not compatible with the Nintendo Switch Lite or Switch 2. Because the grip covers the charging port, best to fully charge the Switch console & joy-cons before use. Wireless Joy-cons are required, but as long as third-party joy-cons attach to the Switch console, they should also work with the Flip Grip. Please read instructions, as misuse will damage your console.
